TERENCE CRAWFORD believes Tyson Fury received preferential treatment in Las Vegas and the fight would have been stopped if ?anybody else? suffered similar cuts.
The Gypsy King needed ?just over 40 stitches? for two cuts he incurred during his victory over Otto Wallin on Saturday.
Fury sustained a TWO-INCH gash on the eyebrow and a slit on his eyelid – but was stitched up quickly as he valiantly battled to a unanimous decision triumph over the Swede at the T-Mobile Arena.
Previously undefeated Wallin?s left hook in the third caused one of the wounds ? and it was the type that would usually have led to a stoppage.
And had it been stopped the 31-year-old Brit ? who is now set for a rematch with WBC champ Deontay Wilder in February – would have lost by a TKO.
However Fury was allowed to fight the entire 12 round bout in a decision former three-weight world title holder Crawford felt the need to question.
The American, 31, tweeted: ?Anybody else this fight would be stopped from these cuts.?
The Manchester-born boxer was spotted in Sin City yesterday where he revealed a second Vegas win just hours after heading to hospital to be patched up.
Fury told BBC Sport: ?I went to the hospital, had a few stitches, went home and had an early night.
?Then I’ve got up, gone to the casino, won five grand, had a few beers and now I’m going to have a few more beers.?
Fury?s injuries have prompted his promoter Frank Warren to say his proposed February 22 rematch with Wilder may now be delayed if the fighter does not heal adequately.
He said: ?If it doesn?t heal well the fight may have to be pushed back. Hopefully that will not be the case.
?It depends how it heals. If it?s OK it won?t be a problem?it?s not just the fight, it?s the training and sparring. He has to be 100% right.?
