Manny Pacquiao scored win No. 62 in his legendary career last night, beating Keith Thurman by split decision with no controversy to win the WBA welterweight title, take a younger man?s ?0,? and continue his incredible run at age 40.
Pacquiao (62-7-2, 39 KO) dropped Thurman (29-1, 22 KO) in the opening round and had the momentum early, and while Thurman, 30, got back into the fight and overall gave a solid performance himself, it was Manny who did the clearer damage and had the biggest moments throughout.
The question now is what?s next for Manny, but we?ll get to that later today. For now, it?s Pacquiao once again basking in the glow of a big fight victory, proving that even though he isn?t the fighter he once was, he is still absolutely a hell of a fighter and a real player at welterweight.
