EX-ALA Gym coach Rey Caitom?s comeback trail is right on track after winning his second straight fight after returning from a 12-year retirement. The 33-year-old Caitom, now based as a trainer and fighter in Singapore, knocked out Thai veteran Khanchonsak Pothong in the second round of a scheduled six-rounder last June 29, 2019 at the Juggernaut Fight Club in Singapore.
In the second round, Caitom wobbled Pothong with a counter left. Moments later, he dropped him with a short right straight to the jaw. The 37-year-old Pothong, a one-time world title challenger, stood up but Caitom finished him off with a vicious overhand right in the 1:29 mark of the second. Caitom remained unbeaten with 8-0-1 including three knockouts, while Pothong dropped to 25-19 with nine knockouts. (EKA)
