Buboy Fernandez said that undefeated World Boxing Association (WBA) super welterweight champion Keith Thurman would be facing a ?different kind of storm? when he fights eight-division titleholder Manny Pacquiao on July 20 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
?Thurman will be facing a different kind of storm in the fighting senator ? something he never experienced in his past fights,? Fernandez said in Filipino during his ward?s training session at the Elorde gym in Pasay City.
Fernandez said that Pacquiao is showing a different level of aggressiveness likely as a result of Thurman?s thrash-talking.
Pacquiao will be putting on the line his 61-7-2 win-loss-draw record with 39 KOs against the American?s 29-0 with 22 KOs.
Fernandez bared that Pacquiao was slightly hurt during Thursday?s sparring session but Fortune said it?s nothing serious.
?It?s only a soft strain in his leg. I just want him to take care of it and I want him to be careful, so we just rested for one day and everything is fine now. No, it?s not cramps, we already fixed cramps ? drink water,? said Fortune.
