RP minimumweight champion Denver Cuello last week knocked down three sparmates in one training session, indicating his readiness to defend his title against challenger Edrin Dapudong on January 19 in Midsayap, North Cotabato.
Cuello's manager Aljoe Jaro, in an interview, said that his ward has been training as hard as ever, and has no plans of losing his title to the relatively inexperienced Dapudong.
Jaro, one of the country's busiest boxing managers, says he expects a tough fight, but the Iloilo-raised Cuello can look forward to bigger fights after he takes care of Dapudong.
