Amir Khan has been questioned for his decision to fight Terence Crawford – but the Brit insists it is exactly the sort of fight he needs.
Khan will be a serious underdog when he takes on the unbeaten WBO welterweight king in Las Vegas on April 20.
The former Olympic silver medalist and two-time world champion was brutally knocked out by Canelo Alvarez in his last world title fight nearly three years ago.
He now concedes he is taking a “gamble” by aiming to become the first man to defeat the classy Crawford.
But he reckons the pressure of knowing a win can transform his career will bring out the best in him later this month.
