WBN caught up with respected trainer Abel Sanchez this week in order to get the latest on former middleweight king Gennady Golovkin.
As several reports pull Golovkin in different directions, the Kazakh puncher has a plethora of options open to him.
The removal of HBO from boxing after 45 years. Coupled with a defeat to Canelo Alvarez have made Golovkin?s immediate future unclear.
A mandatory order by the WBC to face Jermall Charlo for a trilogy shot at Canelo has also clouded the situation.

Sanchez was first asked when we should expect an official statement from Golovkin on his next move. He exclusively told World Boxing News in reply: ?GGG is on vacation from boxing, he values his private time. His decision will come once he has evaluated the best option for his career, family and for the sport of boxing.?
On whether retirement was a possibility, Sanchez replied: ?GGG has had a great Hall Of Fame career. His accomplishments and records will stand on their own.
?He has nothing else to prove to anyone, so his future will be determined by GGG.?
Quizzed on the Charlo order by the WBC, Sanchez was non-plussed: ?What?s in GGG?s best interest is the main focus.
?Nobody or no Organization will determine who GGG will fight. When he decides the direction, he will decide whom he fights.
?Once GGG does decide and issues a press release, that will have a definitive answer,? he added.
