Tyson Fury?s promoter Frank Warren is to reportedly ask the World Boxing Council for an investigation into the scoring of his fighter?s draw with Deontay Wilder.
The former heavyweight champ put on a stellar display against American Wilder but the match was controversially ruled a draw.
It is understood that Fury?s camp will also order a rematch between the two.
The Gypsy King drew with Wilder after Mexican judge Alejandro Rochin scored the fight 115-111 in favour of Wilder despite Fury appearing to dominate the bout for long periods.
Fury suffered two knockdowns but was ahead on American judge Robert Tapper?s scorecard but British judge Phil Edwards scored it level.
It was a decision that outraged many in the boxing community including Lennox Lewis and Warren was incandescent with the result, calling on the WBC to launch an investigation.
Warren told IFLTV: ?Everyone I?ve talked to thought he?d won the fight.
?I was very disappointed with the Mexican judge?s scoring. How he gave the first four rounds to Wilder I don?t know. He must have been watching a different fight.
?I?ve spoken to Charlie Giles from the Boxing Board of Control and he will be supporting us. We will be formally writing to the WBC to ask for a rematch.
?The Mexican judge got it wrong. ?I genuinely feel sorry for Tyson. I feel he?s been robbed and it wasn?t right.?
And having slept on the fight, Fury reiterated his claims that he was robbed of victory and is the world heavyweight champion in all but name.
?I don?t know what fight those judges were watching, I?ve never seen a worse decision in my life,? he said.
?It?s boxing, it?s not the first time it?s happened but stuff like this gives boxing a bad name.
?You can?t take anything away from me or Wilder and you can?t let the decision take away from how good a fight it was.
