Jack Reiss will be the third man on the ring when three-division titleholder Donnie Nietes and fellow Filipino Aston Palicte battle for the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) super-flyweight crown this Sunday at the Forum in Inglewood, California.
The three judges are Robert Hoyle, Daniel Sandoval and Max De Luca, while the supervisor is Richard De Cuir. All of the officials are from the United States.
The Nietes-Palicte duel will mark the third time that two Filipinos are squaring off with a world title on the line.
The first time was in the 1920s when Pancho Villa faced Clever Sencio in Manila while the second took place only last summer when Jerwin Ancajas met Jonas Sultan in Fresno.
Nietes (Murcia) and Palicte (Bago City) both hail from Negros Occidental.
