Buboy tells Pacquiao to Save Best for Last

Buboy Fernandez wants to see Manny Pacquiao?s finest moment on July 15 in Malaysia and not during training.

While the Filipino eight-division champion has been sharp in workouts the past two months, Fernandez insists that all goes down the drain if Pacquiao doesn?t execute the gameplan against Argentine heavy-hitter Lucas Matthysse.

?Right now, he is 85-percent and I want to see the remaining 15-percent during the fight so he?ll be 100-percent,? said Fernandez during a break in their training in General Santos City.

?Me and Manny, we are enjoying every day of training,? said Fernandez. ?We have a strong bond, a bond that goes a long way.?

To set up Pacquiao against Matthysse?s murderous fists, Fernandez wants the 39-year-old eight-division titlist to fight smart.

?I don?t want him staying too long on the ropes because Matthysse has heavy hands.?

While Pacquiao?s instinct is to trade blows, Fernandez is not allowing his childhood friend to empty the magazine during workouts.

?I want to see his best during the fight and not during training,? said Fernandez.

In order to make that happen, Fernandez has something in store during their last sparring day?July 9?the day the team departs for Kuala Lumpur.

Fernandez politely declines to elaborate.

?But it will be for his own good,? said Fernandez.
