TYSON FURY may well have won on his big boxing comeback – but fans were left less-than impressed.
His opponent Sefer Seferi quit on his stool at the end of the fourth round in what was a total mismatch from the start.
The Macedonian promised the fact that he looked more cruiserweight than heavyweight would not matter at all, but all that played out was a farcical fight.
Fury started by KISSING his opponent when the referee told them to touch gloves, before the Gypsy King danced through four painful-to-watch rounds.
He even had time to take a moment to watch a scrap in the crowd, with Seferi caught like a rabbit in the headlights on what was his big night in Manchester.
And despite Fury securing a stoppage victory after two-and-a-half years out of the ring, the ‘show’ didn’t go down too well on social media.
Marc Gowland pulled no punches when he wrote on Twitter: “Tyson Fury is a disgrace to boxing”, before adding that he thought there is “nothing professional about him”.
Paul Kelly went on the same line, writing that Fury “is a disgrace to the sport”, and was left fuming as “people spend good money watching it”.
Alex Jury wrote that although he “loves Fury” the fight was “a disgrace”, while Lee Hogarth added that he “robbed fans of their cash by fighting a bum”.
Fury has said down the line he wants a crack at Anthony Joshua to ‘reclaim’ his heavyweight titles.
But people on social media were already writing off his chances.
Dave Jenkins wrote that AJ would “walk through Tyson Fury”, while Stephen Patten adds that the IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO champ would “batter” the Gypsy King.
