Smitten by the beauty of the Philippines, Floyd Mayweather traveled to Pearl Farm in Samal Island in Davao yesterday, his second beach destination after spending the night in El Nido, Palawan, the day the US boxing star arrived last Tuesday.
Mayweather?s trip down south only made things possible for him and Manny Pacquiao to meet.
Pacquiao is training in General Santos City, 160 kilometers from the world-class resort, in preparation for his July 15 crack at the World Boxing Association welter crown of Lucas Matthysse in Malaysia.
But Pacquiao aide David Sisson insists that the 39-year-old is not too keen in heading to Samal Island.
A first-timer in the country, Mayweather arrived early Tuesday morning from Bangkok after making stops in Dubai, Singapore and Bali.
Mayweather beat Pacquiao in May, 2015 and announced his retirement in August last year after stopping MMA star Conor McGregor.
The win over McGregor was the 41-year-old Mayweather?s 50th without a loss. Aside from going out of town, Mayweather also went on a shopping spree a few days ago.
