IT?S a tougher assignment for the dynamite fisted Eriberto ?Yukka? Gejon as he fights an undefeated Nicaraguan knockout artist, Roman Gonzales, on Nov. 3 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
Fresh from a unanimous decision loss to Yutaka Niida for the WBA minimum-weight title last Sept. 1, Gejon will embark on a tougher challenge on Gonzales, who will be parading a 14-0 record, all won by knockouts.
Gonzales, who just signed a promotional deal with Japan?s most influential promoter Akihiko Honda of the Teikken Promotion is considered as the next big thing from Latin America.
The 20-year-old fighter from Managua is the current WBA Fedecentro light flyweight, WBA Fedelatin minimum-weight and Nicaraguan National light flyweight champion.
The longest his opponent withstood his punches was until the seventh round while he had six first-round knockout wins, four second rounds and two wins inside the three rounds.
At 5-foot-6 inches, Gejon, however, is the smarter and more experienced fighter. The 28-year-old fighter from Mandaue City also enjoys longer reach and accurate jabs.
The 10-round fight is expected to be a brute showcase of power, stamina, skill, and talent.
