THE youngest of the Demecillo fighting brothers, Carlo Demecillo, has joined the ranks of a group of young and promising pugs at Big Yellow Boxing Gym.
The 21-year-old Demecillo was added to a roster of young fighters with the likes of 23-year-old Marjun Pantilgan, a couple of 22-year-olds in Cris Ganoza and Clyde Azarcon, and 21-year-old Dennis Guibao

Tepora, who just recently joined the gym, brings in a lot of experience to guide the youngsters. He was the trainer who helped build the career of two-division world champion Johnriel Casimero.
Demecillo, who was previously trained by veteran boxing trainer Juanito Ablaca, has been training at the Big Yellow Boxing Gym for two weeks now.
After a ring absence of close to nine months, Demecillo will make his return on Sept. 8 alongside stablemate Pantilgan in an event in Guindulman, Bohol.
Demecillo takes on slugger Jason Tinampay, while Pantilgan locks horns with fellow heavy-hitter Delfin de Asis.
Demecillo last fought on Dec. 30 in Tokyo, Japan. He lost by a third round knockout of 2012 Olympics bronze medalist Satoshi Shimizu.
Demecillo has a mediocre-looking record of 6-4 with a knockout but he owns wins over two very promising young fighters in Jess Rhey Waminal and Virgel Vitor. Tinampay, on the other hand, is 8-5-1 with seven knockouts.
Pantilgan, who just lost an International Boxing Federation (IBF) Youth flyweight fight with Robert Onggocan, is 14-5 with 11 knockouts, while de Asis is 5-3 with four knockouts. (EKA)
