The Top Ten Reasons Why Manny Pacquiao Destroys Barrera

There are two sides to every coin, story, and pizza. While most of the Manny Pacquiao supporters were foaming at the mouth due to my list of why Barrera would defeat their idol, they had no idea that there were two sides to this story. Don?t jump the gun so fast my balut consuming brothers. This is a list based on the other side of the jackfruit so I guess you can make your wager depending on what argument makes more logical sense.

Here?s the Anti-Boxing Bookie List of Why Pacquiao Destroys Poor Ol? Marco:

10. The ?Pacman? has finally filled out at 130 pounds. In his third bout with Erik ?El Terrible? Morales he weighed in at 144 pounds by fight time. The strength with which he punched with was evident as he crumpled the Tijuana legend in merely three rounds.

9. Barrera?s stamina has never been the same at junior featherweight in comparison to his previous weight classes. Even in victory over his arch rival Erik Morales, at 130 pounds it was evident that Barrera was starting to fade down the stretch. Usually ?The Baby Faced Assassin? tended to remain strong until the end of his bouts but this isn?t the case at super featherweight. It?s gotten worse as time progressed.

8. Freddie Roach has worked diligently to keep Manny focused throughout training camp. While Barrera?s camp has been rather disheveled due to the absence of former head trainer Rudy Perez, Roach and Manny have formed an unbreakable bond that will lead them to victory. Freddie was able to take control of the training camp early in order to guarantee Pacquiao?s complete focus from the onset.

7. Pacquiao is now a two-fisted bomber evident by his lethal counter right hook. The jab that was so effective for Erik Morales in their first encounter was nullified by ?Manilla Ice?. The ?Pacman? has consistently worked on this punch to take away Barrera?s main and favorite weapon to control his distance, the jab.

6. Being a southpaw it takes away the leverage of Barrera?s left hook to the body. Marco has always had a great left hook to the ribcage but due to Pacquiao?s southpaw stance, it cuts the distance and leverage of that punch. On the other hand, Pacquiao?s left hand has a perfect angle to bang away at Marco?s body all night long.

5. Defense and head movement have been added to Manny?s overall arsenal. The trilogy fight with ?El Terrible? showcased Manny?s added wrinkles. While he usually tended to get tagged as he sat on the ropes, in that fight he was able to slip and slide out avoiding any offensive onslaught by Morales.

4. Barrera doesn?t have the straight punches necessary to land on Manny. The success that Marquez and Morales had against Pacquiao was due to their ability to throw their own punches inside of Manny?s. Barrera has a different type of punch delivery that tends to have an arc in comparison to that of his Mexican counterparts.

3. Pacquiao is in his physical prime while Marco isn?t. Marco is 33 years old going on 43 due to his lengthy career as well as the wear and tear from the wars he?s been in. On the other hand, Pacquiao is in his absolute prime and is competing at a weight he doesn?t have to struggle unnecessarily to make.

2. Reading Marco?s face, it?s evident he knows his demise is on the very near horizon. The stress and tension on Barrera?s face are more evident than ever before. His demeanor says that he will fold under the constant pressure and pain that the Beast from the Far East promises to bring. The only question is whether he?ll resort to questionable tactics as he did in their first bout.

1. Pacquiao has been eating jackfruit from a very special tree in the Philippines that give him the power of ten men. Hey, I had to add something for all rabid fanatics in the Phillipines.

PS. I made this video of your idol so don’t give me any shit.
