LAS VEGAS ? Tony Rivera is not only Marco Antonio Barrera?s cutman but the boxer?s mouthpiece as well.
During Wednesday?s press conference for the ?Will to Win? card, the seasoned cutman who once worked for Roberto Duran did most of the talking.
Rivera let out the juice ? whether or not he was simply translating what Barrera had said or he was throwing out his own thoughts.
The juiciest, of course, was when he said they?ve prepared four different plans for the fight.
?We have three or four different plans. We?re gonna see what Manny Pacquiao does. Whatever he?s got we?re gonna counter. We have four different plans,? he said.
Barrera cut in, saying, ?We have A, B and C.?
He said Barrera is so ready to fight and face the challenge Pacquiao will offer.
?Marco is a very smart fighter. People underestimate him. They look at him as a brawler but he?s a very intelligent fighter. He?s saving his best for last,? said Rivera.
