Mayweather, an Olympic bronze medallist, which look horns with the reigning UFC lightweight champion in a multi-million pound boxing match on August 26.
Mayweather vs. McGregor, which is currently the talk of the combat sports world, will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Earlier this week, McGregor took a huge dig the American by unveiling a mural of himself KO’ing on the legendary boxer on Twitter and Instagram, with the accompanying caption: “I am a filthy Irish animal.”
The picture sent the social media platform into meltdown, amassing 49,000 retweets and 151,000 likes.
Mayweather – who officially came out of retirement in March – didn’t seem to bothered by the taunt during a recent training session, in which he trash talked the UFC’s poster boy.
?You name him, I?ll beat him,? the 40-year-old repeatedly said. ?I be trying to tell y?all, I can get a black eye, bloody nose.
“I can have a bad day in the gym. At the end of the day, I don?t have a bad payday and I don?t have a bad night under the lights.?
He added: ?I get bumps, bruises, but I don?t have a bad night.”
Mayweather, 49-0, hasn’t set foot inside the squared circle since his September 2015 victory over Andre Berto.
