LAS VEGAS -- WBA super world super bantamweight champion Gillermo Rigondeaux made short work of Moises Flores to retain his title and add up the IBO world super bantamweight belt in the main undercard of the Andre Ward vs Sergey Kovalev unified world light heavyweight title rematch at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino Events Center here Saturday night.
Rigondeaux (18-0-0, 12KOs) of Miami, Florida via Cuba scored with a vicious left hook 1 second before bell rung in the first round sending Flores (25-1-0, 17KOs) collapsing to the canvas just as Referee Vic Drakulich was about to step in to signal the end of the round.
