Maybe this will inspire Floyd Mayweather to finish negotiations with Conor McGregor.
What if it was rival Manny Pacquiao who got to face the UFC star in the boxing ring, instead? Bob Arum offered up his fighter if Dana White can’t strike a deal with Mayweather.
“Dana’s a good negotiator, and he’ll get the thing done,” Arum told TMZ Sports. “But he can’t be pushed around by Mayweather and his people.
“If McGregor is still looking for an opponent, Manny Pacquiao is there.”
Pacquiao already is slated to face a nobody, Jeff Horn, on July 2 in Australia. A fight against McGregor would put him back in the spotlight, one that’s dimmed since his May 2015 loss to Mayweather.
White surely will be focused on trying to get Mayweather-McGregor done, though. The McGregor side is done, and now there’s a question of if Mayweather actually wants the fight or is just running his mouth.
