MARCO Antonio Barrera has hit back at Manny Pacquiao?s trainer for urging officials to scrutinize Barrera?s hands when they get wrapped in his dressing room during their Oct. 7 (RP time) rematch.
Roach, who hit town to train Pacquiao for six weeks, told another daily that he was going to raise a big issue if the officials let Barrera do what he wants with his hands.
Pacquiao?s trainer said he was concerned that Barrera will use too much tape and gauze, making his hands feel like cement during the fight.
However, Barrera, who?s seeking revenge after an 11-round humiliation that launched Pacquiao to boxing?s elite, hit back at the trainer.
?He shouldn?t be worrying about me, he should be worrying aboout Manny Pacquiao,? Barrera told fightnews.com. ?I?ve fought in Vegas a lot of times and I?ve never had problems with my wrap.?
In response, Barrera also hit on Roach?s talent as a trainer. ?Freddie?s not a good trainer. Look what he did to Oscar (dela Hoya), he helped Oscar lose,? Barrera said.
Dela Hoya ditched long-time trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. for Roach during his last fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr, which he lost by decision.

Though Barrera said Pacquiao is a more complete fighter compared to their first meeting, the Mexican?s experience will be the key weapon in the fight.
