CARSON, CA -- Mexican star Gilberto Ramirez (35-0-0, 24KO) (R, above photo) kept his WBO Super Middleweight belt when he defeated Max Bursak (33-5-1, 16KO) of Ukraine via a wide unanimous decision at the StubHub Center Saturday night.
Ramirez won via a lazy, boring fight against Bursak where the crowd booed both fighters from the 6th round until the final bell. Bursak was deducted a point on two occasions dropping him down further in the score cards where each of the three judges gave an identical score of 120 to 106 in favor of Ramirez.
