The continuing rise of the popularity of professional boxing in the Philippines has spilled out like bush fire among fitness buffs in Cebu City.
Cebu?s first Inter-Boxing Club Tournament will wow boxing fans and fitness enthusiasts at the Gaisano Country Mall, Banilad, Cebu City on Saturday (September 22) at 5:00 PM. Three fitness clubs in Cebu City, offering boxing training, has joined hands to set up 15 brawls between their respective trainees who are ripe to face fellow trainees in the ring. These fitness clubs include ALA Gym in Banilad Town Center, Holiday Spa along Banilad, and JAM Fitness Gym along Maximo Palalinghug Avenue, Lapulapu City.
A special attraction came with the slugging out between female trainees Rhobi Vergaio of ALA Gym and Bambi Sagarino of JAM Fitness Gym. Added attraction to entertain the audience will be the fight between a smaller Bowen Ong of ALA Gym and a high school student Conrad Paciencia of Tipolo National High School and the encounter of Cebuano Roy Santiago and Korean Tanaka Shiu, both ALA Gym trainees.
This event for general patronage is provided for free through the support of Pepsi Cola Philippines, Tita Gwapa, Air Soft Group (ASG) Cebu Chapter, and Dundee Builders.
