Michael Marley Not Monkeying Around: Calls Manny Pacquao Lawyer ‘Little Him,’ Proposes Charity Bout In Manila!

Boxingconfidential.com Executive Editor & Publisher Michael “White Gorilla” Marley has accepted the fight challenge of pint-sized Manny Pacquaio lawyer Franklin “Jeng” Gacal.

“Is this guy kidding me or what” Marley said when told of the diminutive mouthpiece’s assertion that he will knock Marley around like a rag doll.

“If this Jackal was a rapper, his name would be Little Him,” Marley said from his Cape Cod training camp where he has begun gym preparations for the bout. “When you’re shorter than Bob Costas and Mike Lupica, you should not go around talking about attacking true heavyweights.”

Marley, 57, concedes a large age difference but he feels his height and weight advantages will make Jacal “easy work.

“I don’t know if Gacal plays basketball but Dennis Kucinich would block his shots,” Marley said. “What really makes me mad is that Gacal has played the race card already, calling me a white gorilla. Gorilla is fine but why a white gorilla? What do you want from a guy who let his client sign two promotional contracts, anyway? Franklin is not the brightest lamp in the library to begin with.”

Then Marley turned serious.

“Let’s do this. I will have Greg Leon, Ricardo Lois and John Chavez work my corner. I will hit Gacal with so many lefts he will beg for a right. This is like an ant attacking an elephant. I will swat this tiny fly. This will be Gacal’s final fight. He will have to retire with hand injuries because the referee will be stepping on his hands.

“We can do this as an exhibition, if Gacal signs a liability waiver. Let’s do it in Manila at the upcoming WBC Convention over there and make it a benefit for any charity that the great Pacman so chooses. After I knock Gacal out, he will be out so long that when he wakes up his clothes will be out of style!

“I fought in the Golden Gloves as a teenager and then for the University of Nevada, Reno, Wolf Pack for four years. Ref Jay Nady and I were teammates. I wore white shoes and people said I floated like a butterfly and stung like a moth. Mills Lane reffed most of my college bouts…If Gacal dreams he could beat me, he will wake up and apologize.

“My last exhibition was against Thomas Heans so this is child’s play! I make this solemn promise to boxing fans around the world: I will drop the tiny Gacal like a bad habit!

What say you, Counselor Gacal? Are you man enough to accept the Marley challenge? Marley’s charity is the Jewish Hospital in Denver to benefit asthma reseatch. What’s yours?
