ALA Boy Robert Allanic will try to defend his WBO Asia-Pacific bantamweight title against a tough cookie, In Sok Sung, in one of the featured championship fights of the Sept. 30 mega bouts at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel in Lahug.
After winning the title over Chang-Jae Kwon at the Shinheung University in Uijeongbu City, South Korea last May 19 by a technical knockout on the seventh round, Allanic is now seeking to display his skills before Cebuanos as he opens up the “night of championships”. The card is a presentation of SGG Sports Promotions and BP Entertainment of South Korea.
Strength
Song, however, is not an easy prey and is packed with a dangerous 8-2, 3 KO ring record. The 27-year-old fighter from Siheung City is also taller by an inch and a half over the 5-foot-6-inch Allanic and enjoys a longer reach.
However, these advantages may be neutralized by Allanic’s superior hand speed and fight experience.
The main card will feature youthful sensation AJ “Bazooka” Banal fighting a tough Mexican Genaro Camargo for the WBO Youth super-featherweight title, while the main event will feature Donnie “Ahas” Nietes against the undefeated Pornsawan Kratingdaenggym of Thailand for the vacant WBO minimum-weight title.
