And winning the WBO Oriental Super Bantamweight title against Indonesian toughie Galih Susanto of Indonesia in the Who?s Next? Pro Boxing Series 3 in Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Center, is the first step for him to achieve that status.
Tepora, who is undefeated after 18 fights, including 12 by way of knockout, is looking to level up in the star-studded division that includes WBO champion Jessie Magdaleno, Cesar Juarez, Guillermo Rigondeaux and Moises Flores among others by taking the regional belt that would improve his current 14th ranking.
Susanto on the other hand, who is working on his punches and hoping to improve his 12-6-1, 2KOs record since turning pro in September 2011, promised to stop Tepora within 10 rounds.
Despite losing six of his 19 fights, Susanto has not lost a fight against an opponent with the first name Jack.
He had three opponent with first name Jack before fighting his fourth which is Tepora ? Jack Langoni Timor, whom he defeated by unanimous decision twice and Jack Madison whom he defeated by knockout. Tepora tipped the scales at exactly 122lbs while Susanto weighed a pound lighter than the Cebuano puncher.
In the undercard, Kenny ?The Big Heart? (118lbs) will be defending his WBF AsPac Bantamweight title against Jestoni Autida (118lbs), Christian ?The Bomb?
