Top Ten Reasons Why Coach Freddie Roach Is So Bedraggled In This Amazing Photo!

Do you think it is easy catering to the ever-changing whims of Manny Pacquaio?

Here is Exhibit “A”–this nifty photo we borrowed from shutterbug Natasha Chorensky of the excellent PhilBoxing.com web site–and it shows a bedraggled Coach Freddie Roach coming off his flight from Los Angeles to Manila to rejoin his wandering champion.

Jet lag can be tough but, Pacmaniacs, I have to wonder if there are other factors that would leave the still youthful Roach looking so battered.

Herewith the Top Ten Reasons Coach Freddie Roach is looking so what the cat dragged in these days:

1. His application to join the cast of the GMA “Bubble Gang” was summarily rejected.

2. Freddie was just told his GQ magazine high fashion photo shoot was canceled. GQ went with another Boston boy, Patriots QB Tom Brady.

3. Roach was upset when he discovered his tee-shirt was missing a letter. The shirt is supposed to read “I Love Pie.”

4. Freddie heard that Oscar De La Hoya and Bob Arum had a lover’s quarrel.

5. A reporter asked Coach Roach if he had any idea where FBI Most Wanted poster boy and South Boston gangster Whitey Bulger is hiding. Closing his eyes completely was Freddie’s way of saying, I see nothing.

6. This is Freddie’s impression of what Pacman lawyer Jeng Gacal does when people shove conflicting promotional contracts into Megamanny’s hands.

7. Boy, that nightlife in Sacramento, site of the World Cup where the Pinoys grudgingly gave poor Mexico one victory in six bouts, just never stops.

8. Someone just asked Freddie who he thought is the better trainer and all-around human being, Justin Fortune or Floyd Mayweather Sr.

9. The guy directly behind Roach is not a TV camera guy. He is a radiologist who wanders around airports and takes x-rays of celebrity passengers heads.

10. Coach Roach is making his prediction as to what Marco Antonio Barrera will be doing by the eighth round on Oct. 6 when Megamanny unloads the high-powered bombs on his head…sleeping.

11. Bonus Round: Speaking of sleeping, Roach had to fly coach and shared his three-across aisle with a Norbit-sized fat man and a cage full of fighting cocks. That’s economy, brother, now that Golden Boy and Top Rank are cutting the travel budget.
