Jerwin Ancajas Fights ?AT LAST?

The oft postponed IBF championship fight between champion McJoe Arroyo (17-0-0, 8 KOs) of Puerto Rico and challenger Jerwin Ancajas (24-1-1, 16 KOs) in Bacoor City, Philippines, will push through at last on 3 September 2016. The fight will be held at the newly built Strike Gym.

The fight was originally scheduled on 16 February2016 but this was postponed due to the reported injury of the champion. The champion was given a 60-day period to recover and the fight was reset to 16 April 2016. This was not so. Arroyo?s handlers continued to present excuses so that the fight would be held instead in the US. The IBF said no. In the meantime the 60-day grace period had long lapsed.

The series of postponements did not discourage Jerwin. Jerwin remains patient in his training with the close guidance of manager-trainer Joven H. Jimenez.

It would be an interesting fight between southpaws. Joven is confident Jerwin will win and bag the IBF 115-lb title.

This is Jerwin?s first opportunity to fight for a world title. He promises to do what it takes to win the fight. Jerwin?s long wait will be answered on 3 September 2016 when the fight will be held ?AT LAST!?
