Mexican banger Cesar Juarez ran through Albert Pagara?s record and wasn?t moved even a bit.
?He?s a great prospect but he hasn?t fought anyone known yet,? Juarez said of the Filipino fighter he is up against on July 9 at the San Mateo Events Center in the San Francisco Bay Area.
?I?ve seen videos of Pagara?s fights and he is a quality fighter, good style, he never misses a punch, but when he gets attacked, he doesn?t know what to do,? said Juarez, who lost a narrow decision to Donaire in their world title fight held in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Juarez believes his aggressive nature will be too much for Pagara to handle.
?My style is attacking and attacking, overwhelm my rivals but throwing a lot of punches,? he said.
To get ready for Juarez?s swarming style, Pagara is in the thick of training at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood under ALA Boxing?s battery of trainers.
Pagara has been in the US for a month and is travelling to San Francisco this week to get used to the cold weather and the local conditions in the Bay Area.
In the main supporting bout, Prince?s brother Jason faces Abraham Alvarez of Sinaloa, Mexico, in a welterweight duel.
The July 9 show will be ALA Boxing?s second card on American shores following its debut last year at the StubHub Center in Carson, California, where top promoter Michael Aldeguer is putting up his third event on Sept. 24 with Donnie Nietes headlining.
Nietes, the world light-fly king, is eyeing a crack at a third world title with his eyes trained on Mexican Juan Francisco Estrada.
