A REMATCH between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico within the year is out for good.
This developed after Mexican manager and trainer Ignacio “Nacho” Beristain announced that International Boxing Federation (IBF) and World Boxing Association (WBA) featherweight champion Marquez will be fighting on Sept. 18 in the undercard to the historic bout between Oscar De la Hoya and Bernard Hopkins.
Although the deal is not yet official, Beristain said Marquez would probably take on no. 1 challenger Orlando Salido.
Marquez is currently enjoying his vacation following his hard-earned draw with Pacquiao last May.
