CLEVELAND, Ohio — Rumors about a possible rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have resurfaced just one week after Adrien Broner called out Mayweather.
Broner, however, has more pressing issues to deal with. Broner is currently in jail serving a 10-day sentence due to a parole violation. Then there are the felonious assault and aggravated robbery charges Broner will face later this month.
So it’s not likely Mayweather will come out of retirement to fight Broner, but there is a case for a second fight with Pacquiao, who’s coming off an impressive victory over Tim Bradley. Pacquiao “retired” after defeating Bradley but promoter Bob Arum told the media that it’s likely the rematch will happen. Arum also said Showtime is interested in the fight.
But is anyone interested in a second fight between these two “retired” fighters, especially since their last meeting was a dud in terms of action?
I am not.

Cleveland middleweight Willie Nelson (25-2) fights Demetrius Andrade (22-0) on June 11. … Stow High School grad Shawn Porter fights WBA welterweight champion Keith Thurman on June 25.
