If Pacquiao wins badly, Roach will tell him to quit

Las Vegas ? Freddie Roach will be the first guy to tell Manny Pacquiao to retire if the Filipino icon looks bad ? probably even if he wins ? against Tim Bradley on Saturday night at the MGM Grand.

?If Manny doesn?t look good, I will probably definitely tell him to retire,? Roach told reporters after he presided over what could be Pacquiao?s final workout at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood, California.

But Roach feels he will have to postpone telling Pacquiao that as the 56-year-old Hall of Fame trainer predicts a convincing victory.

?(But) I don?t see that because I haven?t seen any flaws (during training camp),? said Roach. ?There is no slowdown in Manny.?

Still, Roach is leaving the door slightly ajar just in case.

?Depends on how he fights. If he loses, then it?ll be time to retire,? stressed Roach.

Under the watchful eyes of Roach, Pacquiao became a global star with victories over marquee names, turning many of his fights into box-office hits in gate receipts and pay-per-view.

Roach says the first thing to go in a fighter is his ?legs or footwork? and based on what he?s been seeing the past eight weeks, not even one red flag is up.

?Haven?t seen that in Manny,? added Roach.
