Heavyweight Chris Arreola was scheduled for an April fight with prospect Dominic Breazeale, but the veteran and now high-level gate keeper recently suffered a fracture in his ankle and has been forced to postpone the fight to the disappointment of fans that were looking forward to a fun fight. Arreola’s hard-charging bull rushes at the opening bell could give Breazeale more ?Trouble? than he can handle.
Few surmised that he had done it in training. And sure enough, the portly one said, ?I wish I had a good story, but I literally just stepped wrong?when he stepped out of his car at home?Between the concrete and the grass it was uneven, and I just rolled it.”
In December, Chris was dropped by Travis Kauffman before getting a narrow and debatable split decision win which was later changed to a NC when Arreola failed a post-fight drug test.
The one variable here is that Arreola is prone to putting on weight and if he is walking around in a boot all day long, his documented propensity to visit the food stand could create issues.
Arreola (36-4-1, 31 KO) says that he expects the fight to be rescheduled for June or July. Let?s hope so because win or lose, Chris Arreola puts on fan-friendly fights not mention legendary post-fight interviews. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTPUdzCMyVc
