The Philippine Sports Commission headed by its chairman Richie Garcia refused to release P3 million for a training stint of our boxers in the United States but in his widely-read column in the Philippine Star today, Jarius Bondoc disclosed that former PNP Chief Alan Purisima had received almost P1 billion from January 2012 to June 2015.
As a police general Purisima, referred to as a bosom buddy of President Aquino, had nothing to do with sports development or the operations of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation or Pagcor.
Bondoc reported that all the acknowledgement receipts had the ?conforme? of Alfredo B. Benitez with Purisima as the ?payee.?
