Los Angeles ? As the lights went off inside Manny Pacquiao?s suite at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Monday night (Tuesday in the Philippines), Tim Bradley was busy entertaining a handful of visiting scribes at the lobby, regaling them about his wife?s psychic ways, a lifestyle change and his plans after his April 9 faceoff with the Filipino star.
Bradley, who split his first two fights with Pacquiao, never thought he would get another chance although his wife Monica saw it coming.
?My wife?s a psychic,? Bradley said as those around him laughed a bit.
?She?s a thinker she thinks outside the box, she does not think what?s in front, she visualizes things that can possibly happen.?
Bradley won the first fight on a controversial split decision in 2012 but Pacquiao got back at him in 2014 and the loss made the 32-year-old Palm Springs native realize that he would never be given an opportunity for payback.
?I think it?s very interesting that this fight came about because she told me ?Pacquiao is with Top Rank until 2016 oh the fight will happen again? we?ll get another shot.?
This time, Bradley believes Pacquiao will be in for a shock since he swears that he is not the same guy the Filipino southpaw fought.
?The fact that I have new trainer that places a big change on my approach to this fight so you can?t really look at the other two (fights). That?s completely different.?
?I won?t be the same fighter. I think that?s the point everybody wanted to see. They wanna see Manny in his last fight and see if Manny would be successful.?
Apart from the addition of Teddy Atlas to his training camp, Bradley also altered another major facet of his preparation for a fight.
From being a strict vegetarian almost his entire life, Bradley has decided to change all that by adding lean meat and chicken to his nutritional requirement.
?I felt a lot different,? said Bradley, who intends to fight on for a few more years, unlike Pacquiao who has stated that it?ll be his final fight.
?He says this will be his last but this won?t be my last.?
Still, Bradley feels Pacquiao?s future will depend on how their fight will go.
?I don?t think this will be his last but it?ll depend on the outcome,? he added.
Pacquiao is guaranteed over $20 million plus a share of the pay-per-view, while Bradley gets $6 million.
