Manny Pacquiao relishes the idea of facing a retooled Tim Bradley when they get it on for the third time on April 9 in Las Vegas.
Since changing trainers, tapping Teddy Atlas to replace Joel Diaz last year, Bradley has become more aggressive, something Pacquiao feels will make their rubber match at the MGM Grand such a fistic feast.
?When he (Bradley) took in a new trainer, he became a bit more aggressive,? said Pacquiao, who lost the first fight on a disputable decision in 2012 but exacted payback in their second meeting in 2014.
?If he maintains that fighting style, the fans will be in for a treat. I like that,? said Pacquiao, who will be gunning for Bradley?s World Boxing Organization welterweight crown.
Older by five years at 37, Pacquiao believes age won?t be a factor, saying his body feels fine and insisting that he ?still young and strong? and that hard training will be crucial.
Press conferences in Los Angeles and New York will be held in the third week of the month with Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum presiding over the two events.
As soon as the whirlwind promotional tour is over, both fighters will head to their respective training camps.
Bradley, as usual, will set up camp in his hometown of Indio, California, while Pacquiao plans to divide his buildup into two phases.
The first four weeks will be in the Philippines, while the next four will be at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood.
But Mike Koncz, the Canadian adviser of Pacquiao, said he will try to convince his boss to reconsider.
?There?s going to be lots of distractions what with the election period under way,? said Koncz.
Pacquiao is running for a seat in the Senate and Koncz says lots of people will be around the fighting congressman for various reasons.
Even Arum believes it would be better for Pacquiao to go straight to training camp in Los Angeles after the sidetrips to LA and NYC so he can concentrate on the fight.
