Huck vs. Afolabi as Tables Turn

“Veteran savvy” isn’t just a thing commentators say when they’re trying to justify pitting a washed-up old man against the newest Neo-Tyson, Patrick L. Steinberg.

Cruiserweight Ola ?Kryptonite? Afolabi (22-4-4) has gone 0-2-1 with Marco K?pt?n Huck (38-3-1). The fights occurred in 2009, 2012, and 2013-and each was close. One would think that Huck would be the odds-on favorite to win this fourth engagement scheduled for February 27 in Germany, but this time recent circumstances dictate otherwise. This time the tables have turned and Huck is the challenger.

Going into his August fight with Krzysztof Glowacki, Huck (38-3-1), Marco, 31, had not lost at cruiserweight since 2007, and even his heavyweight loss to Alexander Povetkin was highly completive. But that Fight of the Year candidate resulted in Huck taking a brutal and possible career damaging knockout loss, the first in his long career.

Meanwhile, the towering Afolabi was the distinct underdog in his bid for the IBO belt against Rakhim ?The Machine? Chakhkiev in Kazan, Russia on November 14 but he KO?d the Russian with a left hook from hell. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-819ZuAb4s

Ola, 35, possesses a chin made of, well, Kryptonite, and an overhand right that can turn the lights out if it connects. Here, is an example against Enzo Maccarinelli: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yc1zIEyXf0Y

This should be 12 rounds or less of fan-friendly action.
