The revival of world class boxing in Manchester in recent times is something that everybody should be proud of.
Just over two years ago, the area had zero world champions to their name and things were bleak.
Between May 2011 and October 2013, the Manchester Arena hosted just two boxing events.
The 20,000-seater venue had previously been a hotbed for the sport, with the likes of Mike Tyson, Joe Calzaghe and, of course, Ricky Hatton providing us with some must-see nights.
Following Hatton?s initial retirement in 2009, the city struggled to find a new flagbearer that could carry the baton.
Fast-forward to today, and the Manchester area could have four world champions within a month.
Terry Flanagan and Scott Quigg have each won and defended world titles, while Tyson Fury and Anthony Crolla both have dates with destiny over the coming weeks.
Fury takes on heavyweight king Wladimir Klitschko on November 28 , while Crolla looks to right the wrongs from his controversial draw in July when he has a rematch with Darleys Perez at the Manchester Arena a week earlier.
Crolla?s fight is one of three events taking place at the Arena between now and February, with Quigg?s huge unification showdown with Carl Frampton the latest addition.
Manchester is once again booming and is the clear frontrunner as the No.1 boxing city in the UK.
There has been a massive resurgence over the past 12 months, but next year could be even bigger.
Amir Khan is set to return to the ring in the coming months, with talks ongoing about a proposed showdown with legendary Manny Pacquiao.
