LOS ANGELES ? Promoter Murad Muhammad said Manny Pacquiao will definitely return to the ring in September, but on what date and on whether it would be a rematch with dual champ Juan Manuel Marquez will have to be finalized by Home Box Office (HBO) executives next week.
“We?ve penciled September as a possible month for Manny?s next fight but there are other things being considered,” said Muhammad, in a phone interview from his home base in New Jersey.
“The fight date is not locked in yet,” said Muhammad, who met with HBO Sports honcho Kerry Davis last week.
“We?ve got time,” he added.
