ALA Boxing International, in cooperation with Philippines? largest TV conglomerate ABC-CBN and The Filipino Channel (TFC), will present a fight card at the StubHub Center in Carson, CA on Saturday. This is the first venture of an Asian promotion company in the US market. Headlining the event will be WBO light flyweight champion Donnie ?Ahas? Nietes (36-1-4, 21 KOs), who will defend his belt against #8 ranked Juan ?Pinky? Alejo of Mexico (21-3, 13 KOs). Nietes is by the longest-reigning Filipino world champion.
Also on the fight card, billed as ?Philippines vs the World,? is unbeaten Albert ?Prince? Pagara (24-0, 17 KOs), the IBF Intercontinental super bantamweight champion, who will face William ?Chirizo? Gonzales (25-5, 23 KOs) of Nicaragua. Super lightweight Jason ?El Nino? Pagara (35-2, 22 KOs) will exchange leather with Santos ?El Toro? Benavides (25-7-2, 19 KOs) also of Nicaragua. And, fast rising Filipino featherweight star, Mark ?Magnifico? Magsayo (11-0, 9 KOs) will fight a fellow undefeated fighter in Yardley Suarez (13-0, 8 KOs) of Mexico.
