Floyd Mayweather Sr. has backed British fighter Amir Khan to beat Manny Pacquiao if the proposed gets the go ahead.
Mayweather Sr., who refers to Pacquiao?s coach as Freddie ?The Joke Coach? Roach, says that all Khan has to do against the Filipino is to out-box him, just like his son did.
“What Floyd did, it?ll happen again. He?ll do it again,” he told thaboxingvoice.com.
“Amir Khan will win [against Pacquiao] because all you got to do is be able to out-box him. You can win,? he added.
?Freddie ?The Joke Coach? Roach don?t know nothing. Like I said, he don?t know nothing, man.”
Khan has been seeking a fight against Mayweather Jr. for some time but once he realised there was no chance of it happening he quickly turned his attention to his ex-training partner, Pacquiao.
Khan and ‘Pacman’ have a long history together as Roach used to pit the two against each other as sparring practice, however, the Bolton-born boxer had a fall-out with the Hall of Fame coach and hired Virgil Hunter in 2012.
