People’s featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao said Friday he will fight anywhere World Boxing Association/International Boxing Federation featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez who indicated Thursday he would accept a rematch if the bout would be held in Las Vegas or California.
Marquez earlier refused a second fight with Pacquiao, saying Pacquiao has to prove himself first against another champion fighter while he himself prepares for a defense of his IBF title.
Reports also said Marquez was hesitant to fight Pacquiao if the rematch would be held in the Philippines after the Mexican champion heard that Filipino featherweight champion handlers were reportedly working on the possibility to stage the fight in Manila.
