International promoter Murad Muhammad who made a big impression during two recent visits to Manila hasn?t apparently given up on his efforts to entice WBA/IBF featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez to agree to a rematch with “The People?s Champion” Manny Pacquiao, even as he continues to pursue his protest against the decision in Pacquiao?s battle with Marquez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas last May 8 which ended in a controversial draw.
Pacquiao?s business manager Rod Nazario told Viva Sports/Manila Standard after an overseas telephone conversation with Murad that the promoter “is going to look for Marquez and maybe, by next week, if he?s not available, he?ll go for Oscar Larios” the WBC super bantamweight champion who had called Nazario?s son Roberto “Boying” Nazario in San Francisco and told him “he?s ready and wants to fight Manny.”
