Boxing icon and congressional aspirant Manny Pacquiao on Monday evening went on radio and expressed gratitude to his supporters for their votes.
Speaking over radio station DXBB, Pacquiao appeared not conceding to the figures cited to him by radio anchorman Cris Guarin about initial poll results here and in nearby Polomolok town.
“Mahaba pa ang bibilangin,” Pacquiao said apparently expressing hope that the results will ultimately turn to his favor.
The knockout artist said he respects the views of those who did not vote for him.
Initial counts in this city as of 7:30 p.m. had Pacquiao trailing his opponent Darlene Custodio by half of the votes, while Pacman leads Darlene in Polomolok town by more than a hundred.
Asked what are his plans after the elections, Pacquiao urged the radio anchorman to wait for all the votes to be counted. (PNA)
