World Boxing Council super bantamweight champion Oscar “Chololo” Larios says he is “ready to fight” featherweight “People?s Champion” Manny Pacquiao possibly in September, after HBO Sports set aside a date for Pacquiao following his epic but controversial battle with WBA/IBF champion Juan Manuel Marquez who is reportedly recovering from the hammering he received from Pacquiao and isn’t interested in a rematch, certainly not so soon.
The Larios camp called business manager Rod Nazario?s son Roberto “Boying” Nazario who lives in San Francisco and handles his father?s boxing affairs in the US, expressing the WBC champions willingness to take on Pacquiao. However, Nazario did not indicate whether Larios was prepared to fight at 126 pounds since Pacquiao is not prepared to go down to the super bantamweight limit of 122 pounds.
