HBO Sports is looking to stage a rematch between Manny Pacquiao and World Boxing Association/International Boxing Federation featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez sometime this September. This was disclosed by promoter Murad Muhammad who called Pacquiao?s business manager Rod Nazario to relay the information, yesterday.
Nazario said HBO had given Team Pacquiao the chance to pick any date in September and indicated they would try to entice Marquez to give “The People?s Champion” a rematch following their epic but controversial twelve round draw at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, last May 8.
