The undefeated Mayweather will meet Pacquiao in the ring on the night of 2 May. But during an open training session in the build up to the long-awaited showdown, the American spared time to cast his eye forward to where he will be going after the final bell sounds in Las Vegas in a little over two weeks? time.
One option is Jay-Z?s after party, tickets for which are selling at $50,000. But Mayweather said he probably won?t be going to Jay?s shindig, hinting that he might opt for one of the other parties being hosted by Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj or Snoop Dogg.
Of course, it won?t be the entry price that is putting the boxer off ? we all know Mayweather has more than enough money. Nevertheless, it is still dangerous for Mayweather to be looking beyond the fight itself, which promises to be the toughest of his career.
Not only that, but the 38-year-old has revealed that the clash with the Filipino Pacquiao will be his penultimate fight. The upcoming bout is the fifth of a six-fight contract Mayweather has with broadcaster Showtime and he has said that he will retire when the contract is complete, stating: ?I don?t enjoy it like I once did.?
Mayweather?s confidence that he can afford to make post-fight party plans stems from the fact he believes that his opponent on 2 May is ?too reckless?. The fighter, nicknamed Money, said he was not worried about spoiling his perfect 47-0 record.
Mayweather is thought to be making $120 million from the fight, while Pacquiao, who has lost five of his 64 fights, could receive about $80 million.
