Banal are now ready and raring to unload their wares come the Oscar De La Hoya-Floyd Mayweather Jr. slugfest dubbed ?The World Awaits? boxing card at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 5 (May 6 RP Time).
Yesterday, in the final press conference held at the MGM Hollywood Theater, Bautista and Banal, who were introduced as the next boxing superstars out of the Philippines, were among the only few boxers given seats in the dais alongside Rocky Juarez and Bautista?s opponent, Sergio Medina.
Cebuano promoter Sammy Gello-ani and ALA Boys manager Michael Aldeguer were also given seats at the presidential table.
?We are very pleased with the treatment we?ve got from the Golden Boy (Promotions). I mean, this is not the first time that they?ve afforded us this kind of treatment but this is different. This is Las Vegas, the boxing Mecca of the world.
