MANILA, Philippines ? Director Paul Soriano is confident Manny Pacquiao can win against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in their upcoming fight on May 2 (May 3 in Manila).
Paul, who directed the Pacquiao biographical film ?Kid Kulafu,? believes Pacquiao will knockout Mayweather.
However, the director told Pang-Masa: “With or without Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao is gonna go down as one of the best boxers in boxing history. He?s gonna be in the Hall of Fame. You cannot take away the ten world titles in eight weight divisions. It?s unprecedented.”
Paul added, “So, Mayweather does not define Manny.”
“And on May 3 here in the Philippines, the world will stop and watch our hero Manny Pacquiao carry that flag proudly,” he also said.

Paul, who will reportedly tie the knot with long-time girlfriend Toni Gonzaga on June 12, will go to Las Vegas to support Manny during his fight. But despite having a friendship with Manny, Paul isn?t sure if he can get a much-coveted ticket to the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight.
“If I get into the arena, that would be a great blessing but I?m gonna be there in Las Vegas to watch, whether or not I?d get to sit in the arena or not, it doesn?t matter. What matters is Manny sees my support for him, because he?s just been such a great blessing to this project (his movie ?Kid Kulafu?), and it?s something I wanna do in return,” he said.
Paul also quipped: “If I find my way, if we make a hundred million (box office gross for ?Kid Kulafu?), baka I can buy a ticket.”
Will Toni go to Las Vegas with him?
“As of now, I?m going alone. I know Toni has a lot of stuff on her plate. I think she?s got a lot of shows coming up. But definitely I?ll be there. Whether or not I get to watch the fight doesn?t matter. What?s important is that you know, I show my support to our champion and by being there is good enough,” he said
?Kid Kulafu,? which stars Buboy Villar as the young Manny Pacquiao, will open in theaters April 15.
