LOS ANGLES, California — Manny Pacquiao was given a day off from training.
Coach Freddie Roach preferred Pacquiao to rest and resume training Saturday in Los Angeles.
Pacquiao did another mandatory check-up and was given the thumbs up by Dr. Paul Wallace.
The Filipino boxing icon was excited for the arrival of his family.
He stopped by Grove Mall before heading to the airport to buy chocolates for his wife and kids.
Friday evening, Jinkee and their children arrived at the Los Angeles International Airport.
Together with some relatives from General Santos, they were eager to reunite with Pacquiao after three weeks.
“Baby Israel, very good sa plane. First time n’ya here,” said Jinkee of their youngest child.
They greeted Pacquiao with hugs and kisses.
The family bonding continued and had dinner together at their Hancock Park home.
As a welcome present, Pacquiao gave his two older boys shoes. Princess loved the chocolates, Jinkee was touched by the box of chocolates and roses her husband had for her.
The Pacquiao kids are on school vacation and will be with their father until fight night.
After his hard work in LA for his historical fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr., Pacquiao said he is looking forward to still spending some time with his family.
