AFTER making a successful voluntary title defense, Randy “Kumong Bato” Suico is making his mandatory defense in his hometown.
Although, no final date is scheduled yet, Cebuano promoter Rex “Wakee” Salud is hoping to put the card inside the posh Waterfront Cebu City Hotel middle of this year against OPBF No.2 Koji Samejima.
The WBC No.6 and WBA No.11 Suico successfully defended his Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation lightweight belt last Monday by scoring a masterful unanimous decision victory over Tomonori Nakagawa in Osaka, Japan.
Samejima pulled back-to-back knockout victories over the former RP lightweight champion Dexter Delada and Thai champion Songnarong Kiatsingnoi, both inside the second round.
Samejima holds a 15-1-1 record, with 6 KOs, while Suico has a 26-3, 22KO record.
